That low-pressure system in the Caribbean seems to be picking up a bit of spin, and unseasonably warm water temperatures are adding energy to the system. It’s still too early in the season to expect this system to turn into anything dangerous, but NOAA is keeping an eye on it, nonetheless, as it slowly moves east-northeast over Cuba. This is WTVJ weather, and I’m John Morales.

While the rest of the East Coast continues to recover from the Groundhog Day Blizzard, south Florida continues to enjoy warmer-than-usual temperatures. And just in time for Spring Break! Meanwhile, a high-pressure system is moving slowly out of the Gulf of Mexico, bringing sunny skies up through Alabama and Georgia. And the low-pressure system that’s been sitting east of the Caribbean for the last week seems to be slowly moving; it should bring some rain to Cuba and the Dominican Republic. This is WTVJ weather, and I’m John Morales.
